'No excuse, loss is loss'

‘No excuse, loss is loss’ - Phnom Penh Crown General Secretary on his side’s current poor form

Reigning champions Phnom Penh Crown have a bad start to the new Cambodian Premier League season after a 0-0 draw with Tiffy Army and an embarrassing 3-1 home defeat to Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.

Following two matches, the reigning champions sit at the bottom of the Cambodian Premier League table, and their General Secretary Ly Heang said the Phnom Penh side accepted all the blames for their poor start.

Ly Heang is, however, impressed by the amount of support his side have received from the fans.

“Result doesn’t come yet, and we don’t have any excuses. Loss is loss,” Ly Heang said on his Facebook page.

“The team needs to perform better. It’s not easy for every team to defend the championship, but we will do our best.

“We are so glad to see the supporters back to the stadium. Thanks for all their support. Without them, football is nothing as they create atmosphere to make us excited.”
